Licenscope

Digital licence pre-audit

Know what's on your website. Know what to check.

Licenscope analyses the visible resources of your website, identifies potential obligations and points you to suitable ways to verify them. A pre-audit, not legal advice.

Free discovery analysis of public pages, no sign-up needed: 5 pages maximum.

By starting the scan, you confirm that crawling this site's public pages is legitimate under our terms of use.

Licenscope in 1 minute

A real scan of a fictitious example site: what Licenscope finds and what it suggests you check.

Who is it for?

One product, used according to your activity.

Web agencies

Track the resources of your client sites (up to 25 with the Agency plan), keep proof of license and export a report per site.

Freelancers and developers

Check fonts, libraries and images before delivery, and attach the report to the client file.

Small businesses

Document the resources on your website and keep a record of what was checked.

The report answers five questions

No overall compliance score: each point is an observation, with its source and confidence level.

  2. 2Which ones deserve a check?
  3. 3Why?

  5. 5What are the limits of the analysis?

How it works

1. Public pages are scanned

Enter a URL. Licenscope crawls public pages within strict time and volume limits, without submitting forms or bypassing any protection.

2. Resources are identified

Fonts, scripts, images and documents are inventoried with their origin, then matched to known licenses using traceable, sourced rules.

3. Verification and proof

Attach your contracts and invoices to the resources they cover, track what needs checking and produce a usable report.

What we analyze

The pre-scan covers what is publicly observable in the browser.

Web fonts

@font-face declarations, WOFF/WOFF2/TTF/OTF files, likely provider.

JavaScript libraries

Visible components and frameworks, with version when it can be determined.

Images

Inventory, dimensions, fingerprint and available provenance metadata.

Icons and SVG

Icon sets and vector files, with their metadata.

Videos

Inventory of video files and embeds.

PDF documents

Inventory of published documents.

Careful, explainable findings

Every resource gets a status. An unknown license is never automatically labelled as infringement.

Per-analysis caps. Exploration may stop earlier because of technical protections (duration, number of requests, security); the report always states the pages actually explored. Automatic monitoring scans are not counted against this quota.

Frequently asked questions

Does Licenscope guarantee my website is compliant?

No. From a URL alone it is impossible to know all your contracts. Licenscope separates observed facts, identified licenses, rights confirmed by your proof and open questions. It assists compliance; it is not a legal certification.

Can I scan a website I don't own?

The pre-scan is limited to public pages, as any visitor would see them. In-depth scans and recurring monitoring require proof that you control the domain (DNS TXT record or HTTP file).

What does the bot do on my website?

It loads public pages in an isolated browser, with limits on pages, time and volume. It never submits forms, never logs into accounts and never bypasses protections.

What happens to my data and proof documents?

Proof documents are stored privately and encrypted, isolated per organization. You can delete your account and data at any time.

Do you use AI to decide compliance?

No. Findings come from traceable, dated and sourced rules. No artificial intelligence is involved in qualifying resources.
